Arturo Guede will travel Australia by bicycle to finance medical research
For each kilometer that the athlete performes, a euro will be destined to the study of cardiac diseases
I am pleased to present To the Heart of Australia, a personal, non-profit project of my brother Arturo Guede Seara that will take him to travel Australia by bicycle, from coast to coast, for six months.
Its purpose is that for each kilometer recorded in his GPS along the different routes, people donate one euro. Thus, at the end of its journey the amount collected will be distributed entirely to associations dedicated to the study of heart disease. Among them, the Fundación Española del Corazón and the Fundación Menudos Corazones.
In these moments I am looking for the sponsorship of committed companies to be able to give pedals for a good cause, and without ruining myself, in one of the most expensive countries in the world. In addition, I am writing my second book, which I intend to finish writing during my trip and 50% of the income received will go to this cause.
Triathlon with health was his first book. He presented it this spring at the Madrid Book Fair and is already a reference for those who want to face this tough sport without burning the ships of health. From the prevention and enjoyment of the activity, proposes questions of interest to any athlete such as nutrition and hydration, functional and strength training and recovery after sports.
Arturo Guede is a physiotherapist and osteopath, as well as a basketball player since childhood. Precisely his specialization in sports physiotherapy has allowed him to fulfill a dream: to work four seasons with the quarry of Real Madrid. To stay in shape in the Spanish capital bet on practicing another sport that considers more complete and hard: triathlon. Currently, he works in Paris as a physiotherapist, from where he has seen his first book grow.
I do not know how I took time but, as a lover of challenges and extreme, at seven months of training I ended in Switzerland an Ironman, one of the most demanding tests in the world. As of today, I have three Ironman and three other Ironman media.
There is no one better than himself to explain his project, and he does it in the following video:
Not long ago we met together, the challenge or dream of crowning in Tanzania the highest mountain in Africa: the Kilimanjaro, in addition to swimming at 108 meters of altitude on the edge of the Victoria Falls and experiencing the legacy of Jean Godall in first person. “Your” chimpanzees. From the highest point of Africa to the heart of Australia, with a bicycle and many kilometers ahead, we want to see you soon to take part in this great initiative of solidarity. I would like to remind you, in case you had not realized, that you will not be alone in this feat, and this is so because we are going to travel many kilometers with you and for the cause. All together to the heart of Australia!
To collaborate with the project, it can be done through the official web of solidarity crowdfunding KuKumiku and looking for Al corazón de Australia among its projects.
